Delete your Basket account

You can do this yourself in the app, and it takes effect immediately.

In the app

  1. Open Basket
  2. Tap ⋮ → Settings
  3. Account → Delete account, then confirm

You leave every shared list, the lists you created are removed for everyone on them, your account is deleted, and the app's data on that phone is wiped.

Without the app

Email us from the address you signed in with and we will delete the account within 30 days. Say "delete my account" — nothing else is needed.

What is deleted

Your account identifier, your profile name, your shop list, your membership of every shared list, and every list you created together with its items. Lists that other people created and shared with you stay on their phones without you.

What is kept, and for how long

Crash reports already sent are anonymous and are kept for up to 90 days by Firebase Crashlytics. They contain no list content and cannot be traced back to you.

What happens to Basket Pro

Nothing, and there is nothing to cancel. Basket Pro is a one-off purchase held by Google Play against your Google account, not by your Basket account, so deleting the account neither cancels it nor charges you again — nothing recurs.

Deleting the account does wipe this phone's record of the purchase along with the rest of the app's data. If you install Basket again, open Basket Pro and tap Restore purchases: Play confirms what you own and it comes back.
